The Two of Us is a British sitcom that ran on ITV from 1986 to 1990, starring Nicholas Lyndhurst and Janet Dibley.
It stars Lyndhurst as Ashley Phillips and Janet Dibley as Elaine Hargreaves, a smart and sensible woman. Ashley is a well-meaning but irresponsible type who tends to get into scrapes, and Elaine is the more level-headed of the pair. They meet and gradually become a couple, and the comedy comes from the push and pull between his chaotic tendencies and her practicality.
It was filmed during a busy stretch for Lyndhurst, who was also filming Only Fools and Horses at the same time.
